Italian cruiser ships in 1,200 tourists travel to Ho Chi Minh City

Italian tourists travel to Ho Chi Minh city, the Costa Allegra anchored off Ho Chi Minh City's Sai Gon port on May 14, bringing with it 1,200 tourists to the country's largest metropolis.

Travel to Ho Chi Minh, a new route established for the liner has it setting sail from Hong Kong to Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam, then on to Da Nang before returning back to China. Most of the ship's tourists hailing from Germany, the UK and Italy are slated to visit the southern boomtown before embarking on a tour of My Tho city in the southern province of Tien Giang Vietnam.

On May 16, the Costa Allegra will berth at Da Nang to allow its passengers to visit the world heritage sites of the former imperial city of Hue, the ancient town of Hoi An and the My Son relics.

The Italian luxury ship will leave Da Nang on its return leg back to China on the same day.
