Travel in Croatia

It is worth to travel in Croatia, European country at the crossings of Central Europe, the Balkans and Mediterranean.

Country is separated into twenty-one counties and has a population of around 4,500,00 in 2007. Its capital is Zagreb and features nearly 940,000 inhabitants. The size of Croatia is close to the size of West Virginia in the USA. It is a hard decision where to go in Croatia, because the entire country is beautiful and all areas are distinct.

Natural Springs and swallow holes, crystal clear green-hued rivers, a blue sea abundant with life – this wealth of water and underground water courses grade Croatia in 5th place on the European ladder of water reserves.

Forests cover about half of continental Croatia. These woodland domains are the fourth-longest in Europe. In lowlands and mountainous forests there are close to 170 distinct natural communities – broad-leafed, coniferous and combined, flood woodlands, primeval forests, parks, juniper brushwoods and macchia are the unique features of the afforest world of Croatia.

In a pleasurable clime, with amiable people and practiced guides, you will travel under your own steam through a kingdom of unchained nature by kayak, bike, raft, under sail; or slowly wend your path through mountain wilderness… All of this will make your vacation in Croatia unforgettable.

Nestling between the Alps, the Pannonian Plain and the Adriatic Sea, in the south-eastern region of the European continent, Croatia jealously protects eight national parks, ten nature parks and a full range of special reserves, including flora, faunas, geologic formations, hydrological phenomena, completely inside a little but rich area that can be travelled by automobile from one end to other in a single day. Many paths go between rivers, mountain peaks, tiny island ports and beaches, taking to Illyrian hill forts, to Roman ruins, to towns and cities that are themselves monuments, to ethno-entities of popular architecture.
