Resort & Spa Ana Mandara Villas Dalat wins “Tropical Building” award


Resort & Spa Ana Mandara Villas Dalat in the resort town of Da Lat in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong received the first prize in the category of “Tropical building” from the ASEAN Energy Center at the 28th ASEAN Ministerial Energy Conference on July 22.

Triumphing over 18 constructions from six countries – Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand and host Vietnam – competing in the event this year, Ana Mandara Resort Dalat is the first building in Vietnam to win this prize, said the organizer.

The resort covering on an area of 14 hectares on a hill on Le Lai Street has 70 luxury rooms, restaurants and spas. It was upgraded in 2006 from 19 beautiful villas with French architecture which was built in the early 1920s - 1930s of 20th century.

Resort & Spa Ana Mandara Villas Dalat got the award for its airy space closing to nature. The resort also takes advantage of the hilly space to design automatically irrigation systems saving electricity, and other power-save systems.
