Harbin Heilongjiang Ice International Festival Show -China

Harbin (哈尔滨) is the capital of Heilongjiang Province in north east China. Harbin is one of the major cities in Northeast China. Located on the banks of the Songhua River, Harbin is the capital of Heilongjiang Province as well as the biggest city in Northeast China. The city is well-known for its unique, Russian and European-influenced architecture.

Harbin is famous for its ice festival, Its bone-chilling winter makes it one of the best ski resorts in China, the Yabuli Ski Resort. Harbin is the terminus for the international railway, the Tran-Siberian Railway. Harbin also attracts the visitor from the Sun Island, Siberia Tigers Park, Ice Festival and Chinese-Russian Market in Harbin.

The annual Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival has been held since 1963. It had been interrupted for a number of years during the Cultural Revolution until it was resumed in 1985. The Harbin Ice Festival, established in 1985, is held annually from January 5 and lasts for over one month. Harbin is the capital city of Heilongjiang Province and this is China’s original and greatest ice artwork festival, attracting hundreds of thousands of local people and visitors from all over the world.

There are three main areas to view the ice sculptures (newly made annually). Some of Harbin Ice International Festival Show are :
