Numerous holiday makers to visit Central Highlands and central regions

The number of domestic and foreign visitors registered tours to tourist areas in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak has hiked by 30 percent over the same period last year, the province’s Tourism Association has said.

Most of large hotels in the province’s Buon Ma Thuot City have stopped receiving room booking for the Reunification Day (April 30) and May Day, with room prices jumping from VND300,000 to reach 500,000 a night.

In Da Lat City, large hotels also said that all rooms were fully booked one month ago.

To prevent hotel owners from making use of high demand during the coming holidays to skyrocket prices, the city authorities have established a delegation of investigators to monitor the prices.

The investigators have asked hotels to register with relevant authorities and publicize the price hike.

According to Binh Thuan Province’s Tourism Association, over 25,000 domestic and foreign visitors came to Phan Thiet town and nearby tourist areas in the province from April 23-25, bringing a total turnover of VND40 billion (US$2 million).

All hotels have also reported full registration for weekend holidays.

In the central famous tourist city of Nha Trang, most of small and medium hotels have been found double their prices.

Flights have not met demand of HCMC travelers to Nha Trang, thus, many of them chose buses or trains to Phan Thiet.
