Nightlife in Virginia
When you're talking about places to go in Virginia for evening entertainment, many people suggest Virginia Beach nightlife. Other Virginia clubs that come to mind are The Matrixx Room in Richmond, a dance club with Reggae and Latin themed feature nights, as well as the Two Step Tidewater Virginia, a place for country western dance enthusiasts to come and have a good time. Throughout the state of Virginia you can enjoy nightlife activities ranging from ballroom dancing, theater, concerts, line dancing, neighborhood pubs, karaoke and more.
Great Virginia clubs can most often be found in the bigger cities such as Richmond, Lynchburg, Roanoke, Newport News, Virginia Beach, Norfolk and others. Nightclubs in Virginia Beach have a reputation for spicing up the nightlife in this coastal town. Try out Alibis, a Virginia Beach nightlife spot if you like Karaoke, or Peabody's Nightclub featuring a large dance floor, high energy music, multiple TVs, and a happening DJ. Nightclubs in Virginia Beach can also be a great way to meet people, especially during the summer or during Spring Break when Virginia Beach nightlife explodes. Nightclubs in Virginia Beach vary in size and theme, some more country, more techno or may tend to play reggae or rock and roll, but don't hesitate to hit them all just to check out the action.
Virginia Beach nightlife aside, you can find other great Virginia clubs and lounges in Norfolk. A great night club Norfolk Virginia is The Banque (voted the best night club Norfolk Virginia has to offer), a live country-western music dance club. The club houses 2 large dance floors, a game room and a specialty retail store inside. Another great night club Norfolk Virginia offers visitors is Bar Norfolk where customers can climb on top of the bar if the feeling moves them and dance the night away. Customers report that the DJ plays hits all night long at Bar Norfolk and the bartenders are more than accommodating to client requests.
If drinking cocktails and dancing all night isn't your style, Virginia also offers a number of live music venues as well as sports bars, pubs, and lounges. Try Angel's Sports Bar & Billiards in Fredericksburg if you like playing pool and watching the big game. Give Baron's Pub in Suffolk a whirl if you'd like to spend a quiet evening chatting and enjoying their famous oyster salad. For live music, don't miss out on what The Canal in downtown Richmond has to offer in the way of well-known musical performers. The Canal Club is also a full-service restaurant and lounge.
When planning your next trip to Virginia, remember, if evening entertainment is what you like, from Virginia Beach nightlife to a night club Norfolk Virginia, you can find something that suits your taste in almost any of Virginia's major cities.

Nightlife in Atlanta
While the vibrancy of the nightlife scene in Georgia can change depending on which city you visit, travelers will find a jumping party in major metropolises such as Atlanta and Savannah just about every weekend. Both Atlanta nightlife and Savannah night clubs offer exciting ways to spend an evening. In addition to Atlanta night clubs, the city also has a number of performing arts centers and other ways to enjoy yourself during the evening.
Atlanta nightlife for travelers looking to enjoy Atlanta night clubs centers on the area known as Buckhead, somewhat close to the downtown area. In Buckhead, tourists will find a wild mix of Atlanta night clubs, bars, and hundreds of young people cruising the streets. Due to the popularity of the area and the slow cruising speeds, Buckhead is often marked by traffic jams. If you plan to visit, hop on the Mart rail or bus system and walk. Taxi cabs also frequent the area on the weekends, which can be another good option for anyone looking to avoid bringing their car.
Another popular scene in Atlanta nightlife is the Virginia-Highlands area. Any night club in Atlanta located in the Virginia-Highlands area will likely be filled with the young professionals of the city. A blend of trendy bars and one great night club in Atlanta after another are concentrated in the Virginia-Highlands neighborhood.
In addition to the bars and clubs of Atlanta, the city also sports great theatre and music venues. The Alliance Theatre Company hails as the major theatre company in Atlanta, and features shows most nights of the week. There are also quite a number of smaller theatre companies that put on equally compelling shows; the Shakespeare Tavern, Theatre in the Square, and Actor’s Express are just a few. Since almost all theatre companies post information on their websites, it is possible to check ahead and see which shows will be playing during your vacation. Often, you will also be able to purchase tickets right online; a particularly good idea for the most popular theatres and shows.
While you can find a great nightclub in Atlanta almost any night of the week, the city of Savannah is not to be left out when searching for great entertainment in Georgia. The river city of Savannah blends bars, performing arts, Savannah night clubs and even dinner cruises to create a nightlife that can bring the sounds of Dixieland rushing back. The most popular Savannah night clubs can be found on River Street. River Street is located along the Savannah River, and travelers will find bars with live music and even dancing all along this byway. Dinner cruises also wind down the river and past this street, and travelers can hop on board to enjoy an evening snack as they tour the city by boat.
Whether you spend time in Atlanta, Savannah, or both, travelers will find that both cities tend to come to life at night. Food, dancing and entertainment can be found throughout either area.

Nightlife in Illinois
If you are not planning a family vacation in Illinois, you will probably want to spend some time exploring the nightlife. Here are a few ideas for Chicago nightlife, Springfield Illinois nightlife, and Rockford Illinois nightlife.
Nightlife in Chicago
If one of the primary goals of your Illinois vacation is to enjoy the nightlife, it behooves you to devote a significant part of your itinerary to Chicago. The vibrant Chicago nightlife is one of the city's major fortes. The Windy City is home to a variety of bars, dance clubs, concert halls and theatres.
If you would like to hang out at a sports bar after a Chicago White Sox game, keep in mind that most of the bars are closer to Wrigley Field than they are to U.S. Cellular Field. One of the most popular post-game sports bars is Jimbo's Restaurant and Lounge, located at the corner of 33rd Street. Beer is only served in bottles and cans. There is nothing on tap. The walls are decorated with photos of baseball players and regular customers, as well as a variety of Elvis Presley posters.
If your taste in spirits is geared more towards wine than beer, you will want to enjoy the Chicago nightlife at one of the many wine bars. Cru CafÉ and Wine bar is known for its European ambience. Oenophiles who would also like to go shopping for wine should visit Bin 36, a wine bar with a retail store attached.
A good deal of the nightlife in Chicago takes place in the city's many dance clubs. Crobar has been around for many years. It is still popular today, due to its enormous dance floor, as well as its balcony seats. Sound-bar, with its 20,000-foot dance floor, is another popular choice.
When your feet get tired of dancing the night away, a visit to a comedy club is just what the victor ordered. In fact, no trip to Chicago would be complete without a visit to the Second City. This is where Mike Meyers and Bill Murray had their comedy debuts.
Springfield Illinois Nightlife
Although Springfield Illinois nightlife does not share the same reputation as Chicago, there are plenty of things to do in the evening. If you enjoy live music, check out the weekly lineup at Underground City Tavern on East Adams Street. Wanna' dance? Chantilly Lace on South Fifth does everything from polka and fox trot to contemporary, depending on the night of the week. Itis open until 3am. Club Karma is the newest dance club in town. It is quickly becoming the most popular hot spot for Springfield Illinois nightlife.
Nightlife in Rockford Illinois
Given its reputation as a hip, artistic town, there is an abundance of nightlife in Rockford Illinois. For example, Elixur is Rockford's most sophisticated 21+-dance club. The club has a multi-level, 10,000 square-foot dance area, complete with high intensity sound and lighting as well as the best DJs in the Greater Chicago area. Wednesday and Saturday are Top 40s nights. Baby Boomers can boogie to the sounds of the 70s and 80s on Friday.
If you would rather chill out and listen to some music, the Krypto Music Lounge is a popular Rockford Illinois nightlife venue. The bar features jazz, folk and light rock music. If you want to enjoy a cup of java in a retro, Grateful Dead type atmosphere, check out Minglewood at 1302 Broadway.

New Orleans Nightlife
One of the most talked about party cities in the world, New Orleans nightlife is a 24 hour event. In New Orleans, it’s legal to have alcohol on the street as long as it’s in a plastic cup. That means you can travel from bar to bar without worrying about quickly finishing your drink. Needless to say New Orleans bars are the biggest part of enjoying the New Orleans nightlife.
Since New Orleans is famous for its music, it more likely than not you can find New Orleans bars with a live band, local musician, jazz trio or piano player to accompany your 24 hour pub and bar crawl. From piano bars, to jazz clubs, from Zydeco to rock, New Orleans nightlife has something for everyone to enjoy.
New Orleans Bourbon Street
Probably the center for the New Orleans nightlife, Bourbon Street is the center of the nightlife action. Staying in the nearby Bourbon Street hotels is a great way to participate in the New Orleans nightlife, especially during the many events and festivals that parade down New Orleans Bourbon Street like Mardi Gras and Jazzfest New Orleans.
A well known Bourbon Street Bar is the Cat’s Meow where karaoke is king and the drinks flow like water. The balcony above is famous during the festivals where wild partying can be had and sometimes tops come off. The police has been cracking down on this activity lately (it is against the law!) it’s safe to say that a Bourbon Street Bar after dark or anywhere on Bourbon Street after dark is not a place for children.
Another well known Bourbon Street Bar is Pat O’Brian’s. This pub is famous for the Hurricane drink, it’s the hourglass shaped souvenir glass everyone is carrying in the street. There are three different areas inside – the patio with an outside fountain, the piano bar and the side bar. There are no bands here just a big drinking bar, a great place to hang out.
If you are looking for live bands you can find them at several New Orleans Bourbon Street bars. Hard rock bands ala Guns and Roses are at the Famous Door, rock and dance music is found at Razoo where people gather on the huge patio to mingle, and Krazy Korner has rock n’roll and party dance.
More upscale New Orleans bars
The Crescent City Brewhouse: a premiere New Orleans restaurant and the only microbrewery in the French Quarter. Local Musicians perform live jazz nightly. Sample Pilsner and Black Forest and wander up to the 2nd floor balcony to watch the street action. Food is a cut above normal pub fare; a little classier atmosphere.
If you are looking for another high end, respectable joint, The Bombay Club is a little more upscale, business casual martini sipping set. There are also some upscale piano lounges and clubs at the high end New Orleans hotels like the Ritz Carlton, Wyndham and W Hotel New Orleans.
Something edgy / unusual
The Original Dungeon on Tulouse is a New Orleans classic, but not for the faint of heart. You can dance to heavy metal and rock music, while sipping on one of the signature drinks like Witch’s Brew or Dragon’s Blood. You can find skulls on the wall and a cage in lower depths.
Other French Quarter bars / clubs
Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville Café is popular among the tourists as Jimmy Buffet has been known to make appearances and play a few tunes. When he is not around, local bands play music while you patrons sip margaritas or cold draft beer and munch on burgers.
Napoleon House is a one of the most historic buildings in the French Quarter, inside it has a bar and restaurant with some good Creole and Cajun food.
If you are looking for a dance club, The Gold Mine is popular, or live music can be found at the House of Blues New Orleans.
New Orleans is famous for its nightlife, so no matter where you go, you should find a good bar, delicious cocktails and some great live music. No New orleans vacation is complete without enjoying the nightlife, especially Bourbon Street. Even if you are a teetotaler or prefer a boring night in with the TV, it is still worth your time to try out a Bourbon Street bar, just to say that you have been there, done that!

Jacksonville Clubs
When the sun goes down, the beat picks up in Jacksonville. With such diverse options throughout the city in dining, shopping, and attractions, anyone would expect a wide array of Jacksonville nightlife options. And there are a multitude of options for everyone. Amid the many neighborhoods and districts, there are numerous great pubs and bars where a cold drink at the bar always awaits. These smaller drinking holes cater to anyone who doesn't find dancing the night away at the many nightclubs in Jacksonville appealing. Wine bars are another option for settling back with a rich glass of red or a sparkling white, making new friends and enjoying some good conversation and music.
From cozy pubs to lively bars to energetic Jacksonville clubs, the options are endless. It doesn't stop at bars either. Jacksonville nightlife isn't limited to drinking into the morning hours, but it can be a fun option if you're up for it! There are loads of great live music events happening all over the city. Smaller venues offer live jazz, blues, and reggae while famous international acts play the bigger stages in the city. Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena, the Florida Theatre and Freebird Live—a more intimate concert venue featuring a host of talented acts—are just some of the music venues in Jacksonville.
Comedy clubs also offer a fun way to enjoy Jacksonville nightlife. Anyone avoiding the often younger crowds in Jacksonville clubs might enjoy some of the hilarious comedy acts on tours through the city. The Comedy Zone at the Ramada Inn Mandarin offers live comedy Tuesday to Saturday each week throughout the year. The only exceptions are major holidays so be sure to check the schedule. Many famous acts as well as lesser known, yet equally funny, comedians hit the stage five nights a week. A night out at a dinner theater is another great choice when looking for Jacksonville nightlife options. Stocked dinner buffets paired with a musical drama or classic stage show afford a relaxing and entertaining evening out.
There are innumerable nightclubs in Jacksonville to choose from. There are also a host of Jacksonville gay clubs to choose from, catering to the large gay population throughout Florida. Along Jacksonville Beach you'll find Bukkets Oceanfront Grill. Don't let the ‘grill' adage fool you, for even though food is served up here, it's the beach side booze that's the main draw. Big crowds, tons of beer, and an energetic spirit make this one of the best beach bars in the city. Just a short walk down the boardwalk is the restaurant's sister club, The Attic. Two stories packed full of pumped up partiers, fantastic DJs, and live bands is combination that makes for an exciting night out.
The best Jacksonville clubs are found throughout Atlantic Beach, Jacksonville Beach, and Jacksonville Landing. Each night of the week has something going on somewhere. Free bottles of champagne, waived cover charges, ladies nights, and plenty of discounts on beer, wine, and liquor are offered at specific nightclubs in Jacksonville on certain nights. Grab a copy of the local entertainment guide or go online to find out which hot spots are offering the best deals. Jacksonville Landing offers quite the opposite of the many bustling nightclubs in Jacksonville—a chilled-out atmosphere, excellent views of St John's River, and a huge variety of restaurants to choose between. Live music is featured every night at the open court in the center of the complex. Shopping, art fairs, and other special city events happen at the Landing, too.

Jacksonville Dining
Jacksonville is one of Florida's northern-most urban areas, and a bustling port city. It's a major player in commercial, cultural, financial, and industrial areas and offers many things to do and explore. Jacksonville dining options, hotels, attractions, and the nearby ocean combine to create an excellent vacation destination for families of all sizes and age groups. Several distinct areas make up this exciting Florida city, with the waterfront being one of the most popular. The large variety of restaurants in Jacksonville offer something akin to each unique tastes. From a wealth of delicious ethnic foods to fresh seafood, American classics, and scores of chain restaurants, dining in Jacksonville is an experience to relish in.
The true excellence of Jacksonville dining lies not only in the vast assortment of restaurants and market fresh foods but also in the high quality that is standard throughout most restaurants in Jacksonville. As a sprawling, modern city, Jacksonville offers everything from fast food to world-class dining, affording a wide choice in options. Both excellent nightlife hot spots and special events offer another avenue for trying more of the many great appetizers, main courses, and desserts available in the city.
There are several distinct areas featuring many great attractions as well as some of the best dining in Jacksonville. When looking for great views of the St. John River, explore numerous Jacksonville dining options near the Riverwalk, a newly constructed boardwalk flanking both the north and south river banks. Wine bars, cafes, steakhouses, bistros, and other types of restaurants in Jacksonville can be found throughout the immediate area. This district is also an excellent shopping area.
The Riverwalk sits on the south side of the downtown district, another spot to find many dining options and entertainment. Straddling the Saint John River banks, downtown Jacksonville offers more than 50 restaurants to choose from, insuring a choice for every taste and budget. Classic diners, Asian eateries, a host of American favorites including grills and taverns, seafood and steakhouses, as well as a variety of fast food chains comprise downtown's eclectic dining options. Downtown restaurants in Jacksonville also include local favorites like Italian Cuban, Spanish, and other Latin restaurants.
There are even more Jacksonville dining options throughout Amelia Island, a barrier island situated thirty miles offshore. Amelia Island is home to Fernandina Beach where even more choices are available. The majority of island restaurants offer either casual dining, steak, and seafood choices. There are a small handful of international options, a smattering of fast food restaurants, many well-known chains and other American eateries. Asian restaurants comprise a handful of dining options, while a few coffee houses offering specialty desserts and drinks.
More options for dining in Jacksonville can be found along the plentiful beaches, at Jacksonville Landing, in nearby St Augustine where rich history rules, and near the Jacksonville airport. Visitors can expect access to the freshest seafood available including snapper, grouper, shrimp and swordfish, four of the most popular options throughout restaurants in Jacksonville. Jacksonville dining also includes popular southern fried chicken, steak, sushi and barbeque. The Datil pepper—a very hot pepper—hails from St. Augustine, meaning many of the dishes available at Jacksonville dining spots attribute their fiery dishes to this spicy addition. Also hailing from the region, cultivated by the French and Spanish immigrants, are savory wines, the first ever to be made in North America. With a glass of American vintage wine, a panoramic ocean view and a delicious meal, Jacksonville dining is an experience both locals and visitors are keen to soak in.

Fort Lauderdale Nightlife
As the sun drops down below the horizon, busy Fort Lauderdale gets its second wind, and the city comes to life in a new way. Many of the Fort Lauderdale nightclubs were established due to its booming reputation as a spring-break hub, where college students congregated for binge of constant partying; however, though the city’s reputation has calmed down dramatically as it became a leading vacation destination, many of the clubs and bars in Fort Lauderdale have remained open for business, and patrons continue to grace the halls with their presence. Some of the best Fort Lauderdale nightclubs offer unusual atmospheres as well as tasty snacks, and experiencing the Fort Lauderdale nightlife will add a bit of spice to your vacation.
For many years, Fort Lauderdale was known as a party hotspot of college students, and this reputation repelled rather than attracted visitors, with the exception of the students looking for a wild party during their spring and summer break. While this reputation has been transformed and the city has become a delightful setting for vacations and special events such as weddings, many of the best Fort Lauderdale clubs have changed as well, keeping their doors open to the public, with growing success among this more-refined group of tourists.
There are several locations throughout the city to find fabulous bars in Fort Lauderdale, from downtown to the shoreline. The Riverwalk is a strip of stores in the downtown area where visitors can find a number of reputable bars for an evening drink. In Old Town, Tarpon Bend and the Voodoo Lounge are both popular Fort Lauderdale clubs. The Beach Place is located on A1A opposite the beach, and on Las Olas Boulevard, a spring break landmark still stands and remains one of the most popular bars in Fort Lauderdale: Elbo Room.
Atmosphere has a lot to do with enjoying your drink, as many of the Fort Lauderdale clubs know well, and they offer some of the most pleasing of ambiences for their guests to enjoy. For instance, Casablanca Café was voted to be Fort Lauderdale’s most romantic restaurant. Once an old home, the building was restored and turned into an oceanfront café serving American dishes with Mediterranean and Caribbean flavors thrown into the mix.
Another popular option to enjoy Fort Lauderdale nightlife is America’s Backyard, which is located in the downtown Riverwalk area and offers two floors of outdoor venues to relax and enjoy a few drinks with friends: a patio on the lower level and a large terrace on the upper. In the charming community of Lauderdale by the Sea, there are dozens of oceanfront establishments, including 101 Ocean, a casual restaurant that exudes class and offers some of the best views. Another unique option for a bit of evening entertainment is a dinner cruise on the Jungle Queen, which transports you up the New River to a private tropical island for a southern barbecue and shrimp dinner.
Visitors will find no shortage of places to spend the evening (or the early hours of the morning), and if you're staying in one of the centrally located hotels, particularly those downtown or close to the beach, there will be several choices within walking distance. But wherever you choose to go and whatever you choose to do during your vacation in the Venice of America, be sure to step out for a night to experience the thrill of the Fort Lauderdale nightlife to experience the city to its fullest.

Daytona Beach Nightlife
The nightlife in Daytona Beach is renowned, and things get especially crazy here when Spring Break is going on. The scene is also rather raucous when Bike Week and Biketoberfest are going on. You don't have to visit during Spring Break or a motorcycle event, however, if you want to enjoy some lively Daytona Beach nightlife. The bars and clubs in Daytona Beach are hopping throughout the year, with the summer months seeing some of the most action. Things tend to quiet down a little bit in the winter months, but you can still find a party if you're up for one.
If you're looking for some good clubs in Daytona Beach, then you'll do well to visit Club 600 North or the Ocean Deck Restaurant & Beach Club. Club 600 North dubs itself as "Daytona's Hottest Night Club," though you can be the judge of that. It's definitely one of the city's hottest places to unwind. You can find Club 600 North at the corner of Seabreeze Blvd and the A1A. It's just steps from the beach and in the heart of all the action. The music here ranges from live rock to hip hop, and special events like the Thursday bikini contests help to keep things exciting.
The Ocean Deck Restaurant & Beach Club is one of the city's best oceanfront clubs, and you'll often catch live Reggae music here on any given night. You can dance the night away at the Ocean Deck regardless of which day of the week it is, and you'll have to try the club's signature drink at some point. Named "Red Tide", this specialty drink is sure to help you get your back off the wall. It's not all about the drinks and the dancing at the Ocean Deck. The restaurant serves up some good food, and if you like seafood, it shouldn't disappoint.
If you enjoy dancing and rock music, then two other clubs in Daytona Beach that you will also want to keep on the radar include Razzles and the Aqua Lounge. Like most of the clubs and bars in Daytona Beach, these hangouts seem to get crazier during Spring Break. Speaking of the bars here, Main Street and Seabreeze Boulevard are where some of the best can be found. Bikers like to frequent bars like the Boot Hill Saloon and Froggy's, both of which can get pretty crazy themselves. Topless shows aren't uncommon at some of the bars in Daytona Beach, and you're bound to see at least one person dancing on a bar at some point.
When most people think of Daytona Beach nightlife, they likely think of biker bars and wild college kids at the local clubs. While this is somewhat accurate, it doesn't do the city's entire nightlife scene justice. The nightlife in Daytona Beach isn't only limited to the bars and clubs. Simply heading out to one of the area restaurants and enjoying a good meal can make for a fun evening out, and if you like the performing arts, you can see what's on tap at venues like the Peabody Auditorium or the Seaside Music Theater. Perhaps a band that you like is coming to town or you want to enjoy a ghost tour.
There are lots of options when it comes to Daytona Beach nightlife, and if you need some help getting ideas, there are a couple local publications that list the city's entertainment-related possibilities. Most of the hotel lobbies offer these publications, and you can get all the information you need at the Daytona Beach Area Convention & Visitors Bureau. You can find the main visitors bureau at 126 E. Orange Avenue, and there is also a branch at the Daytona 500 Experience. You can find the Daytona 500 Experience, which was formerly known as Daytona USA, at the famed Daytona International Speedway.

Los Angeles Nightlife
The vibrant Los Angeles nightlife rivals that of Las Vegas. In fact, many of the headliners who play the night clubs in Los Angeles also have Vegas on their tour itineraries, and many of the most famous Los Angeles clubs also have a club in that famous Nevada gambling spot. The iconic House of Blues is an example of one of the spots with a club in each city.
The best party atmosphere night clubs in Los Angeles will be found in Hollywood and West Hollywood, located on or near Hollywood Boulevard, Santa Monica Boulevard, and Sunset Boulevard. There are literally dozens of them, with the biggest concentration in Hollywood. Typical of the larger spots is the Vanguard, which got its start in the "rave" culture. It took over an entire warehouse with 20,000 square feet and transformed it into a world class party and music venue similar to the famous nightclubs on Spain's island of Ibiza. There is a state-of-the-art sound system in the cavernous space that also has numerous, more intimate lounges. Hollywood & Highland is more than one of Los Angeles clubs as it is a large complex encompassing restaurants, hotels, and the Kodak Theatre—as well as the Highland Nightclub. This is a supper club with deejays and as well as live music performances.
Not all nightlife in LA is music and dancing. Some important Los Angeles nightlife will be found in comedy clubs, and the majority of these will also be found in Hollywood and West Hollywood. The Improv, Laugh Factory, and Comedy Club are the most well known, but the city is also known for its smaller clubs and theaters that provide many newcomers with their first foot in the door.
West Hollywood is one of the most gay-friendly little cities in the country, with special events that draw visitors from around the world, including one of the largest Gay Pride parades and a famous Halloween party. There are a number of gay clubs in LA located here. Several, like the Circus Disco on Santa Monica Boulevard host a mostly gay crowd, but many (like the 4100 Club on Sunset Boulevard) are friendly to and comfortable for all.
Both comedy and music Los Angeles clubs can be found in other neighborhoods, most prominently in Santa Monica and Venice Beach. The Zanzibar in Santa Monica is a good example of the great music venues. With an Indian/African theme, there is excellent music and a funky mixture of cozy bars and lounges. The Westside Comedy Club offers an amateur night as well as improv classes. Both these clubs are located very near the Third Street Promenade shopping area.
Good Los Angeles nightlife can be found outside of these four areas. The large sprawling city offers many neighborhoods with good music bars, comedy, and dancing. Several are clustered around LAX. While many of these are adult entertainment venues, there are some good mainstream clubs. Harry O's Bar is one such place, with live music, sports events, and a dining spot. You will also find many night clubs in Los Angeles around Burbank, which has a heavy concentration of film industry businesses. Nearby Universal City Walk also boasts nightlife, including a Hard Rock Café, Comedy Club, the Howl Along music revue, and the Rumba Room (a Latin dance club).
Wasted Space in Las Vegas
For anyone who has ever wished for the opportunity to hang out with their favorite rock band, Hard Rock Hotel's Wasted Space in Las Vegas could be the spot for you. Open since July 2008, Wasted Space was the brainchild of punk action celebrity Carey Hart. "I wanted a place where my friends and I could hang out and listen to some great rock music with a cool atmosphere. There were no options in Vegas, so I made my own," Hart said in a 2008 Hard Rock Hotel press release. In a city teeming with clubs and lounges, the Wasted Space Nightclub is a self-proclaimed anti-club, deliberately separating itself from the rest of Las Vegas nightlife. This Hard Rock nightclub prides itself on providing a decadent Las Vegas entertainment experience without the limits of a velvet rope.
Though an adjacent lounge provides additional seating when needed, the interior space of the Wasted Space Nightclub is decidedly intimate, measuring only 5,000 square feet, including the stage. There are seventeen custom-designed booths surrounding a small stage, making the audience feel as though they are guests at an exclusive backstage party. Hart extends this laid-back atmosphere to the club's dress code, or lack thereof. Feel free to wear your jeans and T-shirt to Wasted Space at the Hard Rock Hotel; you'll fit right in. The club is conveniently located in the Hard Rock Hotel, just two miles east of the Las Vegas Strip.
Wasted Space in Las Vegas also sets itself apart from other Las Vegas clubs by steering away from the dance music scene. This Hard Rock nightclub specializes in rock, drawing world-class DJs and live performers such as Pink, Gavin Rossdale, The All-American Rejects, and Static Lullaby. Even the unique drink names reflect this rock-and-roll influence, serving Sunday Bloody Sundays instead of a Bloody Mary and a drink honoring Carey Hart himself called the Hart Attack.
The edgy design of the Wasted Space in Las Vegas stays true to the rebellious grit of the rock-and-roll culture with dark colors, wrought iron, gritty textures, and dramatic lighting. Unique tattoo designs embellish many of the surfaces, mirroring the body art of the club's owner. The Wasted Space Nightclub also boasts an impressive 30-foot wall of memorabilia that pays tribute to rock legends.
Wasted Space is closed on Mondays, but the neighboring lounge is open 24 hours a day. Reservations by phone are required for a booth with bottle service, and keep in mind that the wait in line for those without VIP access can be up to an hour.
Naming this rebellious Hard Rock nightclub Wasted Space can be seen as a nod to the rebellious nature of the rock scene that it represents, as the misnomered Wasted Space Nightclub is certainly no waste of space at all.
Tryst Las Vegas
The word "tryst" has a connotation that tends to incite a feeling of sensuous expectation. Think about it. If you say that you are having a "date" with someone, there is an implication of casual fun, but if you are meeting someone for a romantic tryst, it is certain that you are having a tantalizing rendezvous with your lover.
Tantalizing might well be the adjective you would use to describe the Tryst Nightclub at the Wynn Hotel Las Vegas. The club embodies the sensuality and passion of a hot romance. Indeed, the 12,000 square foot club is perhaps one of the most enticing nightclubs in Las Vegas. Tryst beckons, seduces, intrigues and keeps its promises.
Imagine this. As you descend the elegant staircase, your anticipation heightens. At the bottom of the staircase, you find a lounge with comfortable yet stylish couches and chairs. Sit for a moment and compose yourself. The lounge is only preparing you for the things that are yet to come. Now, you walk down the velvet-lined hallway until you find the main room of the Tryst Nightclub. As you dance the night away on the open-air dance floor, your movements may lead you towards a magnificent 90-foot waterfall. Follow it as it cascades into a secluded lagoon. In the backdrop, a 150 foot man-made mountain looms majestically. Tryst stays open until 4:00a.m. Perhaps you will see the sunrise.
The deep red, black and brown color combinations of the sophisticated Tryst Nightclub interior enhance the subtle eroticism of the intimate booth-style marble tables, which are surrounded by velvet walls. A sliding glass door gives you a clear view of the outside, where a grove of trees surrounds the patios. Here, you can sit and luxuriate near the waterfall as you watch the dancers go by in a splendid array of Vegas-style glamour.
Given that the Wynn Hotel Las Vegas is one of the most luxurious hotels on the strip, the elegance of the Tryst Nightclub comes as no surprise. Steve Wynn, owner of the Mirage and Treasure Island Hotel, built the 2.7 billion dollar hotel. No expense was spared in building the Wynn Las Vegas. This becomes evident as you approach the hotel and see how the coppery bronze exterior reflects the lights of the desert sun. Inside the hotel, you can find original works of art by Picasso, Renoir, Cezanne, and Van Gogh, which are part of Steve Wynns private collection. His appreciation for art is reflected in the artistry of the hotel's design.
The Wynn Hotel Las Vegas is situated on 192 acres of land. Its 2,700 rooms have floor to ceiling windows, which allow the bright Las Vegas sun to illuminate your room. The rooms are decorated in an eclectic blend of styles, which combine a bit of a deco with a touch classical and a hint of retro. The Wynn is the perfect hotel for a romantic tryst. It's classy, it's elegant, and its oh so Vegas.
