Open since July 2008, Wasted Space was the brainchild of punk action celebrity Carey Hart. "I wanted a place where my friends and I could hang out and listen to some great rock music with a cool atmosphere. There were no options in Vegas, so I made my own," Hart said in a 2008 Hard Rock Hotel press release. In a city teeming with clubs and lounges, the Wasted Space Nightclub is a self-proclaimed anti-club, deliberately separating itself from the rest of Las Vegas nightlife. This Hard Rock nightclub prides itself on providing a decadent Las Vegas entertainment experience without the limits of a velvet rope.
Though an adjacent lounge provides additional seating when needed, the interior space of the Wasted Space Nightclub is decidedly intimate, measuring only 5,000 square feet, including the stage. There are seventeen custom-designed booths surrounding a small stage, making the audience feel as though they are guests at an exclusive backstage party. Hart extends this laid-back atmosphere to the club's dress code, or lack thereof. Feel free to wear your jeans and T-shirt to Wasted Space at the Hard Rock Hotel; you'll fit right in. The club is conveniently located in the Hard Rock Hotel, just two miles east of the Las Vegas Strip.

Built by headliner magician at Planet Hollywood Steve Wyrick, the Triq nightclub is part of a sprawling $35 million dollar, 33,000-square-foot complex featuring a theatre for Wyrick's act, lounge, nightclub, and store. The lounge at Triq Las Vegas is free to those going to Steve Wyrick's magic show. There is a cover charge for those without show tickets. Also inside the large complex, a puppet show runs most afternoons and can easily lead to an evening at this lounge. Outside of the complex, Planet Hollywood has another show, V-The Ultimate Variety Show, which would be a fine precursor to an evening of fun at Triq.
However you find yourself here, the club Triq Las Vegas is a relatively new and hot nightspot that is on the upswing due to shrewd design and a hip interior. The sheer size of the Steve Wyrick complex ensures entertainment throughout the evening whether you are seeking to hang out in a lounge or dance the night away. For the past ten years, Cirque du Soleil has taken over the Vegas show scene, creating more of their shows in Las Vegas than anywhere else in the world. Adding to the colorful backdrop of their shows, the Cirque has created the Revolution Lounge Las Vegas at the Mirage Resort and Casino. This is the first time Cirque du Soleil has ventured to design a night club. Part lounge, part concert venue, and part Mirage night club, Revolution Las Vegas is a refreshing and fun night spot worth checking out.
Following in the bold and psychedelic look of the Cirque show staged at the Mirage, The Beatles Love, Revolution Las Vegas hooks visitors in with a playful but sexy range of rich colors and lighting effects and a deliciously 1960s vibe. The lounge glitters with these light effects while the ceiling, made up of 30,000 dichroic crystals, magically reflects the colors below. Similar to the Eye Candy lounge at Mandalay Bay, but unique in its own right, the VIP tables at Revolution Vegas glow with infrared technology with which guests can create artwork. But this is no ordinary artwork-the patterns you create on the table sway and move, and can through the magic of this lounge be projected onto a column in the middle of Revolution Vegas for all to see.
After walking in, guests will see the giant 10-foot tall word Revolution. Behind this is the Abbey Road bar, which is open throughout much of the day and through the night. Other words from Beatles songs stretch across the walls or compose parts of walls as giant cut-out letters, creating a dream-like feel to this Mirage night club. Small-scale concerts play at the Revolution Vegas, and DJs feature an array of musical styles depending on the night. Call ahead if you have particular interest in what might be going on the night you choose to pop in.
If you are seeking a great place to hang out before or after seeing Love at the Mirage, or even just a bar and lounge with a heaping helping of cool, Revolution Las Vegas is an excellent choice.
