Taos New Mexico is in an area laden with broad mesas, aerial mountains with a history dating back about 6,000 years. Taos travel along the access route from town to the mountain can be an arduous one depending on the weather conditions and can be a busy route, especially during peak ski season. As for an alternative ski hill in Taos travel to Angelfire which is about 24 miles east of Taos and has 68 trails to explore and almost 2,100 feet of vertical terrain.
